University-based instructors with a desire to teach the concepts of universal health care to their students. They will assist in student projects that align with the thees of universal health care and resilience. A good teaching fellow is an advocate, innovator, and mentor. They believe that teachers and students have the capacity to enact change in the world.
Teaching fellows are also encouraged to collaborate with at least one small unit at the city government level and actively co-design and prototype health-related projects over a one to two year period.

Fellowship Expectations:
Devote a minimum of (20) twenty lecture or project hours each semester on topics related to universal health care, human and community resilience, or sustainability.
Advice a minimum of (3) student projects each semester which tackle local issues centered on universal health care. Share project outputs through a 5 minute video and publish project reports on the Universal Health Care Lab website and social media platforms.
Produce a minimum of (3) 6 minute mini-lecture videos on any universal health care theme to be included on the Civika Universal Health Care Lab's YouTube channel.
Publish a minimum of (1) one 300-word post per month on the Universal Health Care Lab's blog and Facebook page.
Participate in the Universal Health Care Lab network and online community.
Mentor students and research fellows on the themes of leadership and change-making in universal health care.
Teaching Fellowship Criteria:
Currently a university faculty member with the rank of Professor or Associate Professor.
Currently pursuing or engaging in research or development activities that align with universal health care themes.
Have at least one ongoing research project that could benefit from the help of an undergraduate or graduate student.
Must be able to actively take take part in any programs or projects hosted by Civika.
Must be available for scheduled appointments to act as a student or research fellow mentor.
